Our members and their families spent a day planting trees and other vegetation at the museum. This project not only created shade for those who come to visit, but helped teach our children about giving back to the community. A plaque with MOMS Club® of Pasadena will be placed on site, which should help other mothers in need of support learn about MOMS Club®. For more information on this educational, interactive museum go to www.kidspacemuseum.org.
  • My Stuff Bags: Nearly 300,000 children in America must be rescued from terrible abusive situations each year and often they arrive at crisis centers and foster homes with absolutely nothing of their own. Imagine the trauma of being separated from all you know and not even having your own stuff. Abused and neglected children must often be rescued so suddenly that they do not have time to prepare. So most of these children arrive at and transition through the crisis centers and foster homes with few, if any, personal belongings. What’s worse, they often lug around in trash bags what few possessions they can gather. That’s how they got the awful nickname: “trash-bag kids.”

Filled with things they need, things to cuddle, things to hold on to, and things to call their own, My Stuff Bags help these children get settled in their new surroundings. And because they are filled with donations of new belongings from people all across the country, the children learn that lots of people really care about what has happened to them.
In 2006, our group donated money to help stuff the bags that are so desperately needed. For more information on My Stuff Bags go to www.mystuffbags.org.

  • San Rafael Elementary in Pasadena: In 2005, we partnered with The Assistance League of Pasadena to provide 15 children at San Rafael Elementary with school uniforms and basic necessities through Operation School Bell. • Box Tops for Education: In 2005, we collected "Box Tops for Education" from our members and donated them to Park Elementary in Alhambra.
  • Mother-to-Mother Fund: Each year our club votes on an amount to send to the Mother-to-Mother Fund. These funds are available to MOMS Club members around the world in the form of nonrepayable grants. The grants are awarded to members who are in need due to extreme disasters. Members who are in need should contact a board member.

  • Hamilton Elementary in Pasadena: In 2003, we partnered with The Armory Center for the Arts to create mural program for the 6th grade class at Hamilton Elementary in Pasadena. The students were taken through the entire mural process from idea generation, to drawing and to painting. The mural currently hangs in the auditorium at the school.
  • Hillsides: In 2000 and 2001 the club donated funds to Hillsides to help house abused and negelected children. Hillsides can be reached at www.hillsides.org.
